Caris Life Sciences is seeking a Specimen Processing Clerk I to support the laboratory with case creation, specimen handling, and cross‑department collaboration. You will manage patient cases, ensure accurate labeling, and perform QA/QC while maintaining timely processing of specimens.

Responsibilities include processing incoming specimens, updating cases, and ensuring records are complete in the Laboratory Information System, with emphasis on accuracy and compliance with CLIA/CAP regulations.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• General working knowledge of Internet for business use.
• One to three years of experience in general laboratory operations preferred.

Aufgaben

• Open packages and video receipt of all incoming specimens for clinical processing.
• Create and manage patient cases including setting up new cases and updating current cases.
• Enter specimens in cases, attach documents, and perform QC checks for accuracy.
• Open and close specimen/case discrepancies to ensure timely processing.
• Maintain records and file specimens; ensure accurate labeling and LIS entries.
• Perform QA/QC for all cases, specimens and documentation.
