Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Problem Resolution Specimen Technician in Lewisville, TX, working Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in Specimen TechIII/related role (internal candidates).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Primary point-of-contact for resolution of common specimen problems and communication with internal departments to avoid testing delays and/or service failures.
• May call clients to obtain resolution of problems.
• Demonstrates competency of job duties and SOPs related to Specimen Processing problem resolution.
• Interprets specimen tracking data using available resources (specimen logs, LIS, front-end automation, instrumentation).
• Ensures compliance with test ordering, test reporting, add-on tests, reflex tests and custom panels.
• Retrieves specimens from storage, investigates sample adequacy, and researches test ordering information and stability.
• Enters TIQs/TNPs correctly and processes, documents, and reviews mislabeled specimens.
