Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive biological specimens into the department and enter into the company’s computer system.
• Prepare samples for analytical testing.
• Distribute specimens to the proper analytical area.
• Archive specimens after testing.
• Work on the night shift under supervision of Specimen Processing Supervisor and Senior Technicians.

Come do great work on behalf of better health!POSITION SUMMARYThis position is responsible for the receipt of biological specimens into the department, their proper entry into the company’s computer system, the preparation of samples for analytical testing, the distribution of these specimens to the proper analytical area, and archiving specimens after testing. This position reports to Specimen Processing Supervisor, and takes direction from Senior Specimen Preparation Technicians, and Specimen Preparation Coordinators.PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT FACTORSAbility to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and body fluids. Able to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone.
