Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Full-Time Female Specimen Collector II in Tacoma, WA to collect urine and oral fluid specimens, process and ship them, and act as a liaison between clinics and the lab. The role supports HIPAA compliance and requires travel across Oregon/Washington.

The ideal candidate has 6+ months in specimen collection or 1+ year in medical settings, plus 2+ years in customer service. A valid driver’s license and strong computer skills are essential; a HS diploma is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ months as a specimen collector or 1+ year in medical field supporting patients.
• 2+ years of customer service experience can substitute for medical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate smartphone and computer.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• HIPAA/HiTrust compliance knowledge is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and the laboratory.
• Record patient information, orders, and lab data.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information.
• Order and maintain collection supplies onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens when applicable.
