Job summary

A leading healthcare staffing organization is seeking a phlebotomist to support its medical facility in San Antonio, TX. This position is a 4+ month contract with the potential for hire. The ideal candidate must possess excellent phlebotomy skills, including proficiency with pediatric and geriatric patients, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Job description

Pride Health is hiring a phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in San Antonio TX. This is a 4+ month contract with the possibility of a contract hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Pay Rate: $20-$23/hr. on W2.

Duration: 4+ Months

Shift: Mon - Fri 8:30 am-5:30pm

*Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during the collection process.
• Accurately label specimens and complete requisition forms.
• Adhere to standardized procedures for waived testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results
• Properly handle and store specimens to maintain sample integrity.
• Follow protocols for specimen transport and disposal
• Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed by healthcare providers.
• Apply electrodes and monitor patients during the procedure to ensure quality tracings.
• Prepare and verify manifests for specimens being sent to external laboratories or for transportation purposes.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Must demonstrate Superior Customer Focus; ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients; ability to accelerate and embrace change; and knowledge of our business.

Qualifications:
