Job summary

Ethos Laboratories is seeking a Specimen Collector to accurately collect patient specimens in physician offices and clinical settings. You will handle urine, oral fluid, and blood samples, following Ethos protocols and regulatory requirements, with attention to patient safety and data accuracy.

The role includes requisitions, patient verification, specimen prep for shipment, and data entry into LIS/EMR, working under remote supervision and collaborating with clinic staff and Ethos team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior specimen collection, laboratory, or medical experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in customer service, logistics, or data entry environments preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient specimens ( urine, oral fluid ) per Ethos procedures.
• Perform anterior nasal swabs for COVID-19 testing when required.
• Collect blood via venipuncture when applicable to the clinic location.
• Label, package, and transport specimens to the laboratory.
• Enter patient information into LIS/EMR as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to compliance standards.
• Coordinate with clinic staff to obtain missing information and ensure accurate documentation.
