Job summary

Labcorp in New Castle, DE is seeking a Specimen Processor I to support high-throughput specimen handling and data entry. The role involves preparing, labeling, routing, and shipping specimens, while meeting production goals and ensuring accuracy in documentation.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred experience in lab accessioning or related settings. The work schedule runs Monday–Friday 5:00pm–1:30am, with every 4th Saturday coverage.

• Perform clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures

The Specimen Accessioner will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse

Additional Job Standards:

• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Experience with MS Office
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
