Qualifications

• 1 year of recent experience in a Critical Care, DOU, or SDU setting, or completion of KP Critical Care course.
• Registered Nurse License (California).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Basic Arrhythmia course required and Ventilator training required.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
• Lead the health care team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Ensure patient safety and optimal pain control.
• Document nursing processes and interventions accurately.
• Discuss patient findings with physicians and health care team members.
• Practice customer service standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Organize work to minimize overtime.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
