Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Apothecary Pharmacist for MCC Apothecary at Montgomery Cancer Center in Montgomery, AL. The pharmacist will handle retail and specialty pharmacy operations, prepare/dispense prescriptions, compound where needed, and educate patients.

The role requires Alabama Pharmacist licensure, 3–5 years of retail pharmacy experience, and familiarity with URAC/ACHC accreditation standards. Strong accuracy, math, and aseptic technique are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or PharmD from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
• 3–5 years of experience in a retail pharmacy; specialty experience preferred.
• Active Pharmacist licensure required in Alabama; Alabama Controlled Substance certification preferred; BPS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate pharmaceutical services for the MCC Apothecary.
• Prepare and dispense prescriptions and perform prescription compounding; patient education.
• Monitor patients; manage purchasing, inventory, and records.
• Adhere to good pharmacy practice and maintain URAC and ACHC accreditation standards.
• Additional duties within scope may be assigned.
