Job summary

The Ohio State University Medical Center seeks a Specialty Practice Pharmacist (HS) for the James Cancer Hospital to coordinate inpatient pharmaceutical needs, approve orders, verify dosing, and perform drug information screening. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses and pharmacists, supervise Pharm.D.

students and technicians, provide educational programs for hospital staff, and participate in department committees.

Qualifications

• Licensed Ohio pharmacist; board certified; advanced degree and residency preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience with drug information and hospital pharmacy practices.
• Ability to supervise Pharm.D. students and provide staff education.

Responsibilities

• Approve medication orders and verify dosing, route, and duration.
• Review patient medication profiles for interactions and duplications.
• Coordinate pharmaceutical needs with physicians and nursing staff.
• Participate in hospital or departmental committees.
• Supervise Pharm.D. students, technicians, and teaching activities.
