Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist in preparation and distribution of medications.
• Accurately select, prepare and label medications including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
• Screen calls and route using proper etiquette.
• Perform nonsterile compounding per USP standards; sterile IV admixture when applicable.
• Maintain storage areas per policy; document admissions histories.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and training of technicians.
• Adhere to all policies, regulatory standards, and safety requirements.
• Operate a health-system vehicle to deliver medications and supplies as required.
