Phoenix Children's Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join the team in Phoenix. The current schedule is Mon-Fri, 8 AM to 4:30 PM and subject to change to meet business needs. The role involves patient contact, order fulfillment, insurance coordination, and collaboration with pharmacists.

Experience in specialty pharmacy is preferred but not required; strong communication and adaptability are essential as the department grows rapidly.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician with a focus on specialty pharmacy duties.
• Experience with patient communication and insurance processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and correspondence regarding prescriptions and patient access.
• Navigate insurance plans and bill appropriately; support audits and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in data collection for daily audits and financial reports.
• Assist in preparation and labeling of specialty medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Perform non-sterile compounding per policy and regulatory standards.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, stocking and expiration control.
• Support quality assurance by data collection and adherence to processes.
• Participate in department initiatives and training as needed.
