Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for their Retail/Outpatient Pharmacy in Phoenix, AZ. Under pharmacist supervision, you will assist with medication preparation, dispensing support, and customer service.

Responsibilities include processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with Arizona Board of Pharmacy rules. A valid AZ Tech license and PTCB/NHA certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or outpatient setting preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative relationships within the pharmacy and patient care team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Experience with pharmacy software and POS systems.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Arizona.
• National certification (PTCB or NHA).

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and labeling of medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy information software and maintain patient records.
• Handle insurance claims, billing, and revenue capture for medications.
• Provide first-line customer service at the pharmacy counter and via phone.
• Assist with inventory management and stocking from vendors.
• Participate in quality assurance and departmental procedures; support process improvements.
