Job summary

Shields Health Solutions in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to provide integrated patient and pharmacist support. You will enter prescriptions, verify orders with pharmacists, process insurance matters, and assist with medication adherence programs in a fast-growing specialty pharmacy setting.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years of experience (5+ preferred), is registered with the State and nationally certified as a CPhT, and demonstrates strong computer skills

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the State as a Pharmacy Technician and nationally certified as a CPhT
• 1+ years of experience required, 5+ years preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry; strong communication skills and confidentiality are essential

Responsibilities

• Interpret and enter prescriptions.
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacist or clinician as appropriate.
• Label and fill prescriptions for pharmacist verification.
• Perform pharmaceutical calculations.
• Assist with insurance processing and financial assistance.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and order medications.
• Communicate with patients by phone about their medications.
• Support medication adherence programs and patient education.
