Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Specialty Pharmacist Navigator to build relationships with physician practices using specialty medications, train staff, and support patients through the pharmacotherapy process.

The candidate should have a PharmD, an unrestricted license, and 5+ years in pharmacy, with a background in specialty pharmacy or prior authorizations preferred. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits and a focus on patient access.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree strongly preferred.
• Current unrestricted pharmacist license in appropriate state.
• 5+ years community/retail/ambulatory pharmacy or health-system experience.
• Previous specialty pharmacy or prior authorization experience desired.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Access physician practices to discuss specialty Rx value.
• Schedule meetings with key stakeholders and decision makers.
• Demonstrate value of ambulatory pharmacy partnership to practices.
• Ensure prescriptions flow to ambulatory pharmacy and are identified by staff.
• Coordinate patient profiles, including payors and clinical data.
• Process prescriptions and handle insurance adjudication and sourcing.
• Prepare and submit prior authorization paperwork and manage denials.
• Assist with staffing and cross-train to ambulatory pharmacy.
• Provide oversight and mentor staff according to policy.
