Job summary

Education: High school diploma or GED.
License: Texas-licensed Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern.
Experience: 5 years in specialty, retail, mail order, or hospital pharmacy.
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task independently.
Knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical terminology and customer service.

Responsibilities

Enter and process claims for new/refill prescriptions, resolving rejections.
Collaborate with pharmacy and medical office staff to assist patients face-to-face or by phone.
Review medical documentation from physician offices and facilities.
Clarify prescription orders with pharmacist or clinician.
Assist with insurance issues, prior authorizations, and financial assistance forms.
Maintain records and respond to patient inquiries promptly.
Comply with HIPAA/HITECH and safety standards.
