Job summary

Alivia Health in Guaynabo, PR is seeking a Case Manager for our Specialty Pharmacy. You will review prescriptions, transcribe data, provide admin support and help train new associates to ensure accurate, timely service.

You will communicate with patients, prescribers, and healthcare offices to gather documentation, respond to calls with excellent service, and help maintain compliance and efficient end-to-end workflows.

Qualifications

• Review and interpret doctor's prescription orders to ensure appropriate therapies.
• Transcribe prescription data in preparation for pharmacist verification.
• Provide administrative support of Pharmacy as assigned and assist in the training of new associates in the Pharmacy.
• Communicate with all new patients informing them of prescription referrals and welcoming them to the Alivia Specialty Pharmacy.
• Communicate with patients and HCP offices to ensure all documentation required for timely prescription is made available.
• Respond to incoming calls from the pharmacy, with excellent customer service standards and following up with pending tasks (internal or external).
• Meet management’s production standards, whether quantitative or qualitative.
• Obtain the patient's medication list for DUR research.
• Award and review prescription drug insurance claims that will be delivered to patients and providers.

Responsibilities

• Associate Degree Diploma as Certified Pharmaceutical Technician is required.
• Perform or assist with any operation, as necessary to maintain the workflow and to comply with schedules and quality requirements.
• Participate in meetings and work groups prepared by management or co-workers.
• Be knowledge related to new developments, requirements and policies.
• The CM’s goal is to ensure patient satisfaction through personal attention, and an efficient, transparent and simple process from end to end.
• The CM must tend to the Patient’s needs, questions and concerns with kindness and awareness of their circumstances.
• As part of said tasks, the Case Manager may communicate with Doctors (Prescribers), Managed Care Organizations (MCO’s) and authorized caregivers.
• Attention to precision, compliance with industry standards and efficiency are essential for safety and care of the patient.
