The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Department of Pharmacy Services. You will assist the pharmacist with dispensing-related activities, and help with call center operations to triage patient needs.

You will input and verify prescription data, stock supplies, and may prepare labels or prepacked orders. Strong communication with patients and pharmacy staff is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent required; no prior experience required (0–6 months).
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the SC Board of Pharmacy required; must complete PTCB within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist a registered pharmacist with dispensing-related activities.
• Collect, input, and verify prescription, refill, and patient information.
• Receive and stock incoming supplies.
• Prepare labels and routine prepacked orders.
• Triage patient calls in the pharmacy call center and route to appropriate staff.
• Support general pharmacy inquiries and facilitate communication with patients.
