Job summary

CPS, part of the Optum family, is hiring a full-time Specialty Pharmacist to provide safe, accurate pharmacy services and mentor staff. This hands-on role verifies orders, oversees controlled substances, and supports the Director in optimizing pharmacy performance.

Based at Oaklawn Hospital in Michigan, the position offers Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm, 40 hours weekly, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree required.
• MI Pharmacist license in good standing.
• MI Controlled Substance license or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage specialty medication therapies for complex conditions.
• Provide patient education and counseling on adherence and outcomes.
• Coordinate care with providers, payers, and manufacturers for therapy access.
