Job summary

IU Health is seeking a Specialty Pharmacist to join our growing specialty pharmacy program based in Plainfield, IN. This role involves clinical review of prescriptions, collaboration with clinic teams, and active patient/provider outreach in a Monday–Friday day-shift schedule with partial remote work options.

Ideal candidates will have PharmD or BS in Pharmacy (pre-2006), ASHP PGY1/PGY2 residency, and Indiana licensure or eligibility, with on-call and occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy completed before 2006.
• Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY1/PGY2 may be required.
• Active or eligible Indiana Pharmacist license.
• Basic Life Support certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Clinically review prescriptions for specialty patients.
• Collaborate with pharmacist and provider teams embedded in clinic.
• Conduct patient and provider outreach as part of the specialty program.
• Participate in the specialty patient management program.

Specialty Pharmacist

Day shift Monday-Friday Partial remote work available Our specialty pharmacy program is growing and looking for experienced pharmacists to join our team. This position will have the opportunity to serve patients with a variety of diagnoses including oncology, inflammatory, neurology, and more! Daily responsibilities include clinical review of prescriptions, collaborating with pharmacist and provider teams embedded in clinic, conducting patient and provider outreach, and participating in the specialty patient management program. Team members are office based, with the opportunity for partial remote work available. Schedule is Monday - Friday day shift, includes no weekend/evenings/holidays apart from on call requirement approximately 3 weeks per calendar year. We are based out of the IU Health Integrated Services Center located in Plainfield, IN.

• Requires Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy prior to 2006.
• Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 or PGY2 residency may be required.
• Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Requires current Indiana Pharmacist license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist.
• Board certification or other specialized training may be required.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required.
• May require travel to IU Health facilities.
• May require weekend rotations.
