Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Specialty Pharmacist to join our team in Plainfield, IN. The role focuses on clinical review of prescriptions, collaboration with provider teams, and participation in the specialty patient management program.

The position is day shift with partial remote work, Monday–Friday, and no weekends or holidays except on-call ~3 weeks per calendar year. Requires PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy and Indiana licensure.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy prior to 2006.
• ASHP-accredited PGY1 or PGY2 residency may be required.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Current Indiana Pharmacist license or eligibility for Indiana licensure.
• Board certification or other specialized training may be required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association may be required.
• May require travel to IU Health facilities.
• May require weekend rotations.

Responsibilities

• Daily clinical review of prescriptions.
• Collaborate with pharmacist and provider teams embedded in clinics.
• Conduct patient and provider outreach.
• Participate in the specialty patient management program.

Specialty Pharmacist

Day shift Monday-Friday

Partial remote work available

Our specialty pharmacy program is growing and looking for experienced pharmacists to join our team. This position will have the opportunity to serve patients with a variety of diagnoses including oncology, inflammatory, neurology, and more! Daily responsibilities include clinical review of prescriptions, collaborating with pharmacist and provider teams embedded in clinic, conducting patient and provider outreach, and participating in the specialty patient management program. Team members are office based, with the opportunity for partial remote work available. Schedule is Monday – Friday day shift, includes no weekend/evenings/holidays apart from on call requirement approximately 3 weeks per calendar year. We are based out of the IU Health Integrated Services Center located in Plainfield, IN.

• Requires Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy prior to 2006.
• Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 or PGY2 residency may be required.
