Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2,000 hours of practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Certification as Adult Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner preferred.
• Prior adult or family practice experience preferred with an emphasis in pain management.
• Current certification in pain management (ASPMN through ANCC) preferred.
• Completion of the Bryan Physician Network credentialing and re-credentialing process required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient assessments including obtaining health and medical history; performs a physical examination and identifies health risks.
• Diagnoses patients by synthesizing data and formulating differential diagnoses.
• Develops and implements patient treatment plans; may order tests and referrals.
• Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies; provides patient education.
• Documents patient findings, treatment plans and outcomes; maintains patient confidentiality.
