Job summary

Stemilt Growers in Wenatchee, WA is seeking a full-time Night Shift Machine Operator to operate PLU machines on the pear line at Olds Station Plant. You will monitor denester and label systems, verify product flow, and keep the line stocked and clean.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand 8–10 hours, read English, and understand running orders, sizes, grades and varieties. A pre-employment drug test is required; schedule may vary with production.

Responsibilities

• Monitor label and tray denester machines and keep them supplied.
• Clean and refill label cassettes.
• Operate an air hose to clean denester machines.
• Supply packers and stampers with supplies.
• Empty cull boxes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Occasionally assist box machine operator with boxes.
• Ensure packers have supplies to pack product.
• Put supplies away promptly.
• Keep tape machines loaded at all times.
• Communicate well with team and be ready for size changes.
• Dust and clean the machine area.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Location: Pear line - Olds Station Plant

Working Shift: Night Shift

Hours & Work Days: 4:00 pm - 12:30 am, Monday - Friday; May vary depending on production.

This position will require a pre-employment drug test.

Duties:

• Clean and refill label cassettes
• Operate an air hose to clean the tray denester machines
• Supply packers and stampers with supplies
• Empty cull boxes
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Occasionally supply box machine operator with boxes
• Ensure that packers always have the supplies needed to pack product.
• In charge of putting supplies away.
• Responsible for keeping the tape machines loaded at all times.
• Must communicate very well and be ready for size changes.
• Dusting and general cleaning to the machine is required.
• Other duties may be assigned.
