Stemilt Growers in Pear line- Old Station operates the bagging line to maintain efficiency and accuracy, directing the bagging crew and learning programs to maximize throughput.

Day shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday–Friday; hours may vary with production. A pre-employment drug test is required. Requires a high school diploma or GED, basic reading/writing, English proficiency, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information to customers, clients, and employees.
• Ability to apply common sense in following written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to handle problems with several variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to read Stemilt pack schedules; Oracle and Discoverer capabilities.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Must read, speak and write English.
• Regularly lift up to 10 pounds; may lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and clean the bagging machine.
• Learn programs and settings to maximize efficiency.
• Direct a crew of 2–6 employees packing bags from the machine.
• Communicate effectively with team and production line.
• Keep pace with production and maintain a clean work area.
• Know Stemilt fruit grades and bagging processes.
• Strive to improve bagging capabilities of the machine.
• Compile daily data and share with appropriate groups.
• Utilize tools to maximize grower returns.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Number of openings: 2 Fulltime, Year Round

Location: Pear line- Old Station

Working Shift: Day shift

Hours & Work Days: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm Monday – Friday; Hours may vary depending on production.

These positions will require a pre-employment drug test.

Summary

The objective of this position is to maintain the efficiency and operation of the bagging machine and ensure the timely and accurate operation of this station by performing the following duties.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to read and understand Stemilt pack schedules.
• Oracle and Discoverer capabilities.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Must be able to read, speak and write English.
• Must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds. Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintenance of bagging machine, including cleaning as necessary.
• Must learn programs and settings to maximize efficiency.
• Direct crew of 2 to 6 employees packing bags from machine.
• Displays an excellent ability to communicate.
• Maintains pace with production line.
• Maintains efficient and clean work area.
• Know Stemilt fruit grades.
• Consistently striving to improve bagging capabilities of the machine.
• Must be able to compile daily data and send to appropriate groups.
• Utilize the full spectrum of tools at hand to maximize grower returns.
• Mechanically inclined.
• May encompass other duties than those listed.
