Job summary

Macerich is seeking a Specialty Leasing Manager to drive the budget through strategic negotiations on short-term cart, kiosk, and store leases. You will work with the Area Specialty Leasing Manager and property team to optimize leasing outcomes and center profitability.

The role requires strong sales acumen, market insight, and coordination across leasing and asset management. In-person collaboration and a dynamic retail environment are key to success.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in retail sales, shopping center leasing, or specialty leasing.
• Demonstrated success in retail leasing, business development, or a related field.
• Strong negotiation, sales, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective strategic plans.
• Highly self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Awareness of current trends in the retail and F&B industries.
• Team-oriented mindset with collaboration and cooperation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Area Manager to develop and implement sales, merchandising, and rate strategies.
• Negotiate and execute Specialty Leasing agreements to meet or exceed annual budgets.
• Conduct market research and outreach to identify new retail concepts.
• Monitor lease expirations and renewals to maximize revenue and minimize risk.
• Provide input for annual budget planning with senior management.
• Prepare and maintain monthly forecasts for specialty leasing performance.
• Develop understanding of local market trends and center demographics to support leasing.
