Job summary

CETECHS seeks an experienced Specialty Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to support Veterans at the Sheridan VA Medical Center in Sheridan, WY. This on-site role requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, assessments, medication administration, and maintaining documentation in the VA EHR. Candidates must have an ACEN/CCNE-accredited nursing degree, an active RN license, and VA credentialing readiness.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACEN/CCNE-accredited nursing program.
• Current unrestricted RN license in at least one U.S. state.
• CPR certification.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification when assigned to a specialty clinic.
• Minimum 1 year of direct patient-care experience in the last 3 years.
• Ability to complete VA credentialing and privileging requirements.
• Ability to meet VA health, immunization, background and training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and critical-care nursing services.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop plans of care.
• Administer medications and IV therapies.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Operate defibrillators, EKG machines and cardiac monitors.
• Initiate appropriate emergency interventions when conditions change.

Work Location: On-site, Sheridan VA Medical Center, 1898 Fort Road, Sheridan, WY 82801
Schedule: Full-time; facility operates 24/7. Shifts are primarily 12 hours, with some 8-hour shifts. Must be available for days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Cetechs is seeking experienced Specialty Inpatient Registered Nurses to provide direct patient care in support of Veterans at the Sheridan VA Medical Center.

The RN will provide direct and indirect nursing care, conduct patient assessments, establish nursing priorities, implement appropriate nursing interventions and evaluate patient outcomes. The position requires independent clinical judgment, strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved professional nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE at the time the program was completed.
• Current unrestricted RN license in at least one U.S. state, territory, commonwealth or District of Columbia.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification when assigned to a specialty clinic.
• Minimum 1 year of direct patient-care experience within the previous 3 years.
• Ability to successfully complete VA credentialing and privileging requirements.
• Ability to meet VA health, immunization, background and mandatory training requirements.
• VA experience preferred.
