International Specialty Sales Development Executive, Latin America

Recognized as one of Forbes 2024 “America's Best Large Employers” and named to the Forbes 2024 "Best Employers for Diversity," Labcorp is seeking to hire an International Specialty (Sales) Development Executive (SDE) to help identify and shape opportunities for our continued growth across our Special Testing segment in Latin America.

This is a unique opportunity to join the International Genetics and Specialty Tests sales team of a leading global life sciences company that advances patient health and powers clear, confident decisions through its diagnostics and drug development offerings. This position reports to the International Regional Director and will be responsible for effectively communicating and selling the benefits of Labcorp Genetics and Specialty Tests commercial products to clinicians and department personnel for their assigned geographic territory.

The SDE provides direct sales and services primarily to OBGYNs, Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists, Reproductive Endocrinologists (IVF), Oncologists, Geneticists, Regional reference laboratories, and hospitals. This is a hunter role, and the candidate is expected to prospect, develop, and close individual sales targets monthly.

We seek an individual with competitive and collaborative sales skills, high communication and business acumen, who enjoys working with a high-performing team across various high-growth segments. The position involves calling on physicians in person and requires regular travel (40%, including international and overnights) within the territory.

The territory covers Latin America, including Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America, with the ideal candidate residing in the USA.

Responsibilities:
  1. Sell laboratory testing services to professionals within Oncology, Surgeons, Genetics, and Women’s Healthcare space, including OBGYNs, Surgeons, MFMs, REs, Geneticists, Regional Reference Labs, and Hospitals.
  2. Meet and exceed sales goals and achieve maximum sales growth in the assigned territory.
  3. Build and execute an annual business plan with quarterly updates; cold call and develop a sales pipeline for ongoing revenue.
  4. Accurately forecast and maintain a sales funnel aligned with a 90-day quota.
  5. Manage travel logistics to maximize sales productivity.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues in sales, compliance, legal, logistics, and contracts to explore new business opportunities.
  7. Work closely with team members to retain current clients.
  8. Attend local and regional trade shows and events as needed.
  9. Communicate value propositions effectively to customers and prospects.
  10. Perform in-services, training, and implementation with personnel and physician staff.
  11. Update customer account information in CRM (Salesforce).
  12. Provide ongoing support, education, and market updates to current customers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; science background highly desired.
  • Minimum 5 years of medical outside sales experience required.
  • Previous international experience selling directly to physicians required.
  • Proven success in managing a book of business.
  • Strong collaboration skills with sales and operations teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Track record of recent sales success and accomplishments.
  • Strong consultative selling and closing skills.
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex scientific data.
  • Valid passport, driver’s license, and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel internationally, including overnights (40%).
  • Fluency in spoken and written English; Spanish and Portuguese preferred.
  • Experience in international markets, logistics, and regulatory environments preferred.
