The Office of Statewide Programs, Department of Specialty Courts has an opening for a Specialty Courts ProgramCoordinator in Hardin County.
The Specialty Courts Program Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the Specialty Court program,ensuring compliance with program requirements, policies, and procedures. This position provides casemanagement and community supervision to participants while collaborating with judges, court staff, attorneys,treatment providers, and community partners to promote participant success and program effectiveness. TheProgram Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate case files and program documentation, completingdata collection and reporting, supporting grant requirements, audits, and preparing timely and accuratereports for the court. The position serves as a key liaison among program stakeholders, evaluates programactivities and outcomes, and identifies opportunities to improve operational efficiency and achievement ofprogram goals. The Program Coordinator also performs court administrative duties and other responsibilities asneeded to support the effective operation of the Specialty Court Program.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS CLASSIFICATION:
EDUCATION: Associate’s degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or closely relatedfield.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: At least two (2) years of experience working with high-risk or high-needs population, includingindividuals with substance use disorders, mental health disorders, or multiple barriers to success
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional related education or work experience will substitute for theminimum requirements on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Work is primarily performed in an office and, or, courtroom setting and requires regular attendance onsite atthe designated work location. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Statewide travel is required.Must be able to deal with highly stressed people. Must be able to deal with substance abuse issues andbehavioral health needs. Must be able to work inside a detention center on as needed basis. Due to the natureof the job duties and responsibilities, this position is not authorized for virtual work.
