Qualifikationen

• Current MI state RN or LPN license.
• Previous medical office experience desired.
• Previous specialty care experience desired.
• Ability to deal with patients tactfully and courteously.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, other employees, and patients.
• Knowledge of current medical practices and procedures.
• Ability to provide quality care and to assist the provider with procedures and exams in the specialty setting.
• Accuracy and dedication to providing high quality patient care.
• BLS Certified.

Aufgaben

• Works closely with the Specialty Providers to appropriately plan an effective course of treatment.
• Takes patients vital signs, chief complaints and prepares patient for the provider examination.
• Will interview patients and record their medical history and physical condition.
• Provides assistance to the provider so he/she can make the best possible use of his time and provide quality care.
• Responsible for preparing each patient appropriately, seeing that exam rooms are adequately prepared, and that clinical information is made available for provider review.
• Assures the completion of data entry for orders and completed interventions.
• Performs patient education/teaching at provider's request.
• Assists provider with patient phone calls, prescription refills, etc.
• Provides patient care including injections, various treatments, and diagnostic testing (i.e., pulse oximetry, mini mental exams) and documents accordingly.
• Restocks exam rooms and makes lists for ordering clinical supplies.
• Provides accurate documentation in patient EMR and reporting to other agencies (i.e. health department).
• Maintains accountability of pharmaceutical samples.
• Maintains appropriate supplies of stock medications with attention to expiration dates.
• Addresses patient inquiries with tact and courtesy.
• Demonstrates appropriateness in meeting objectives in age‑specifics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.]
