Job summary

CommonSpirit Medical Group – Urology – Holtzclaw is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care and physician efficiency within the EMR environment. You will document visits, perform ancillary tasks, and follow physician instructions to ensure accurate patient records and smooth workflows.

Responsibilities include patient admission interviews, EMR documentation, assisting with exams and procedures, and maintaining up-to-date EMR templates to optimize clinic operations.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate, upon hire
• High School GED, upon hire
• Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant course.
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid Medication Aide certification by state agency required if applicable.
• May require specialized training such as Non-Certified Radiologic Technician (NCT).
• Certified Medical Assistant AAMA, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
• Electronic health record experience is preferred.

• Perform and direct patient care services including, but not limited to, admission interview, accurate documentation and timely patient flow.
• Ensure priority care is provided to patients in an emergency situation.
• Assist healthcare providers with exams, treatments, procedures and testing as directed.
• Accompany the physician into the exam room for the patient visit documenting in the electronic medical record (EMR) all aspects of care including, but not limited to, chief complaint , history of presenting illness, physical exam and patient plan as directed by the physician.
• Work directly with physician to ensure the patient visit is appropriately documented.
• Ensure optimization of physician practice by keeping current with EMR flow and templates.

Every day, you will expertly manage clinical documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), accurately perform ancillary healthcare services, and execute specific physician instructions, ensuring precise and efficient patient visits.
To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced clinical proficiency with exceptional attention to detail, a strong aptitude for electronic health records, and a proactive approach to supporting high-quality patient care.
