Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company, based in Tyler, TX, seeks a deli/cheese specialist to prepare and display specialty cheeses, assist with catering orders, and ensure food safety per company standards.

You will train teammates, review sales data with management, manage inventory, and help create appealing displays while delivering friendly customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED and 1+ year of related experience.
• Minimum of 18 years of age required.
• Partners must be 21+ to drive for Company business per policy.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop partners with upper management; schedule and direct work.
• Review historical data on sales, ads and promotions; co-manage inventory and in-stock levels.
• Indirectly responsible for maintaining and improving sales, financial results and product quality.
• Enforce food safety standards and rotate dated products.
• Assist with slicing, weighing, packaging, labeling, catering orders.
• Check inventory on trucks and ensure paperwork accuracy.
• Promote product sales through displays and suggestive selling.
• Provide friendly customer service by greeting customers and taking orders.
