Job summary

YMCA in Easton, PA is seeking a Specialty Summer Camp Counselor to join our team this season. This role is part-time and seasonal, with hourly pay between $15.00 and $17.00 and flexible hours between 7:00am and 6:00pm.

You will supervise campers, reinforce positive behaviors, assist with art activities, and help implement lesson plans while building strong relationships with families. The YMCA offers rewards like free membership, flexible scheduling, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 2 years experience with children/teens; camp setting a plus.
• Degree in education or related field preferred.
• Background in arts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely supervise campers through daily activities
• Reinforce positive behaviors, teach proper art techniques, and bring enthusiasm to every camp day
• Support the lesson plans and camp objectives and ensure a safe environment for all campers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with members and parents

What is needed for this job as a Specialty Summer Camp Counselor:

• 18+ years of age
• 2+ years working with children and teens, in a camp setting is a plus!
• Degree (completed or in progress) in education or a related field preferred
• A background in arts
