Job summary

Whole Foods Market, Inc. is seeking a friendly Team Member to support the Specialty department with receiving, stocking, and merchandising products while delivering excellent customer service.

You will maintain displays, assist with sampling, and ensure product quality and safety in a fast-paced environment, while following store procedures and health regulations. Experience is not required, and you will learn basic product knowledge and selling techniques while contributing to a positive store

Qualifications

• Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department.
• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
• Ability to sell proactively and provide friendly service.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain sanitation and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Surprises and delights customers with consistent and delicious food.
• Engages in positive and proactive selling.
• Maintains displays by keeping cases and shelves clean and well-stocked.
• Checks product to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Monitors spoilage and waste to minimize department costs.
• Assists with sampling programs and keeps areas clean and appealing.
• Maintains back stock in good order and communicates market info to customers.
• Ensures logs for temperature, sanitation, and sweep are completed.
