Job summary

Whole Foods Market, Inc is seeking a Team Member to support the Specialty department, maintain displays, and provide friendly service. You will engage customers, stock products, and ensure quality standards are met while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include merchandising, assisting with sampling, and adhering to health and safety guidelines. Flexible schedule including nights and weekends is common in this role.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Stand 6-8 hours in an 8-hour shift.
• TIPS course completion and age 18+ where applicable.
• Experience in maintaining clean, sanitary displays and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Surprises and delights customers with consistent and delicious food.
• Engages in positive and proactive selling.
• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well-stocked.
• Checks product to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Monitors spoilage and waste to minimize department expenses.
• Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full and appealing.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Provides excellent customer service and suggests appropriate products.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking and merchandising.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
