Job summary

JW Marriott Las Vegas is seeking a Specialty Cook to lead culinary production in our designated specialty area. You will work with the Room Chef to execute trends and menus, and ensure quality and presentation across stations in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

The role requires at least three years in Asian cuisine, including Chinese wok cooking, with strong knife skills, food safety, and teamwork. Candidates should have a high school diploma and be able to work varying shifts on a casino-hotel

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: Must have a minimum three years’ experience in Asian foods to include Chinese Wok Cooking.
• Advanced culinary and knife skills; mastery of core cooking techniques.
• Strict adherence to food safety, labeling, storage, and temperature control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute all menu items according to established standards and station duties.
• Must be able to work all stations in any kitchen independently and with minimum supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area at all times.
• Ensure proper fire times and ticket times to support efficient service.
• Assist with receiving, rotating, storing, and replenishing daily requisitions.
• Restock dishes, silverware, and related items as needed to support smooth kitchen operations.
• Perform all reasonable tasks assigned by management within the scope of the role.
