Job summary
Morley is seeking ASE-certified automotive technicians for a work-from-home consultant role supporting a domestic OEM brand. The position begins with on-site training in Saginaw, Michigan, and then remote work from Ohio.
You will assist field service techs via phone, chat and email, focusing on EV, engine, electrical, drivetrain or infotainment systems, with ongoing access to the latest repair data and guidance from senior consultants.
Qualifications
- Must have five or more years of recent experience as a mechanic in a full-service shop.
- Two ASE certifications (or ability to obtain within six months with Morley reimbursement).
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Responsibilities

- Specialize in EV, engine, electrical, drivetrain or infotainment systems to aid domestic vehicle repairs.

- TA will respond to after-hours questions the next business day
- Strong understanding of automotive engine, electrical, drivetrain and/or infotainment systems
- Able to use electronic service manuals
- Must have the ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five or more years of recent experience as a mechanic in a full-service shop
- Two ASE certifications (or you can get them within six months of hire with reimbursement from Morley)
- Valid driver's license
- One or more years of customer service experience (previous call center work, retail, restaurant, fast food, hotel or any role where you interacted with customers)
- Able to work shifts during these hours:
- Monday - Friday
- 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Eastern time
- No weekends!
- Must be able to stick to the schedule reliably, as some queues are time sensitive
- Electric vehicle (EV) experience
- Microsoft Office experience
- Typing skills
- Ohio resident
- Secluded and distraction-free work environment
- Required internet setup:
- High-speed internet delivered through a wired provider (cable or fiber)
- Computer must be physically connected to your modem / router using an Ethernet cable
- Wireless, 5G and satellite connections are not supported
