Job summary

Flagstaff Academy in Longmont, CO is hiring a Specialized Program Paraprofessional for the 2026-27 school year. The role provides support to students with significant disabilities, medical needs, and coordinated services, including health-related training, data collection, and direct physical support as required, in addition to instructional support.

Qualifications

• AA degree or State Approved Assessment
• At least one year of school-based experience with students, preferably with disabilities
• Experience with math and literacy instruction
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and with families
• Ability to form positive relationships with adolescents
• Expertise integrating technology effectively
• Good judgment in problem solving and decision making

Responsibilities

• Work with students with diverse abilities in small groups or one-on-one
• Support in general education and resource classrooms
• Maintain confidentiality
• Use progress monitoring tools to track student progress
• Assist with supervision during meals, drills, assemblies, play periods, and field trips
• Assist with daily routines and schedules supervision
• Provide information to substitutes as needed
• Participate in staff development and meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned
