Job summary

FORJAK Industrial is seeking a Specialized Mechanic to join the Facility & Shop team in Ohio. You’ll perform routine maintenance, inspect equipment, and support repairs across fleet and tools, with ownership mindset and ESOP culture.

This non-exempt, full-time role offers a $21.00 to $25.00 hourly wage, a Tuesday–Saturday schedule, and opportunities to advance while contributing to a safety‑conscious operation.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance are required.
• 1–3 years of automotive or equipment maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of engines, transmissions, brakes, electricals, and hydraulics.
• Proficiency with maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to use Google Suite and Microsoft Excel.
• Clear communication and a team-oriented attitude.
• Ego-free, collaborative team player mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
• Inspect forklifts and equipment, perform minor repairs, escalate major issues.
• Execute red tag process to isolate unsafe or malfunctioning items.
• Assist with maintenance on tools and outfitting of vehicles with necessary tools.
• Maintain accurate service logs with parts used, labor hours, and schedules.
• Coordinate parts and supply runs to minimize fleet downtime.
• Ensure adherence to maintenance schedules and safety policies.
• Adopt miscellaneous duties as assigned by leadership.
