Bitpanda is seeking a Data Engineer/BI Developer to join the ALM team. You will design dashboards and automate reporting for ALM, while building scalable data scripts to process large datasets from diverse sources.

The role requires 3+ years in data engineering or BI, with strong SQL and Python, and familiarity with Tableau/Metabase. A hybrid work model and competitive compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building dashboards in Tableau and Metabase.
• Understanding of financial concepts and blockchain fundamentals.

Your mission

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Asset & Liability Management (ALM) Team. This role focuses on developing impactful dashboards using Metabase, automating ALM reporting processes, and building efficient scripts for specific data queries and transformations. You will play a key part in enabling data-driven decision-making for the ALM function by designing scalable data solutions and visualizations.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Metabase for ALM reporting and analysis
• Automate ALM reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of critical reports
• Write efficient, scalable scripts (in Python, SQL, etc.) to extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets from various sources
• Collaborate with ALM analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability for downstream applications and reporting
• Optimize data pipelines and workflows for performance and reliability.
• Implement version control and documentation for dashboards and scripts

Who you are

• The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineering or BI Developer role with a strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and working with large datasets
• Proven experience in building and deploying dashboards in Tableau and Metabase
• Understanding of financial concepts and blockchain fundamentals
• Experience with ETL tools, workflow automation, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with AWS and Snowflake as cloud platforms are a strong plus
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment with strong communication skills and attention to detail
