Bitpanda is seeking a Trader on our Trading Desk to manage and optimise flows across crypto, stocks/ETFs, metals, FX, and derivatives. You will monitor price formation, hedging, and execution quality in real time, using data-driven analysis to drive sustainable alpha and improved client experience.

Your mission

As a Trader on our Trading Desk, you will play a key role in managing and optimising trading flows across crypto, stocks/ETFs, metals, FX, and leveraged and derivative products.
Operating at the intersection of markets, data, and technology, you will monitor order flow, pricing, hedging and execution quality in real time. You will continuously refine pricing, hedging, and execution parameters, using sound market judgment and data‑driven analysis to improve performance.

Your mission is to strengthen pricing quality, ensure trading flow is routed and executed efficiently, maintain robust real‑time controls, improve hedging performance, and capture sustainable alpha. You will be part of a high‑performance trading desk where speed, precision, and hands‑on ownership directly influence trading results and the client experience.

What you’ll do

• Take shared ownership of trading performance across all asset classes, ensuring strong execution quality and resilient trading systems.
• Monitor markets, order books, order flow, and exposures in real time, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
• Optimise pricing, hedging, routing, execution, and internalisation using market insight, data, and performance analytics.
• Dynamically adjust trading parameters within defined risk limits and analyse spreads, slippage, hedge performance, and execution outcomes.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers, engineers, product teams, operations and external partners to improve algorithms, tooling, controls, and trading‑system performance.

Who you are

• Strong ownership and builder mindset, with a relentless focus on performance and continuous improvement.
• At least two years of relevant experience in trading, market making, liquidity provision, electronic markets, or a comparable role.
• Strong understanding of market microstructure, order‑book dynamics, pricing, hedging, execution quality, and risk management.
• Analytical and quantitative mindset and can make fast, well‑reasoned, data‑driven decisions under pressure.
• Passionate about financial markets, digital assets, and trading technology, and thrive in a high‑performance environment, with the flexibility to work rotating shifts of 8 hours between 07:30 and 23:00.
