Job summary

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks a highly experienced Specialist to help design and implement a new facility management solution. You will apply deep technical knowledge to support IWMS and PrimeNet configurations, integration, and testing, while aligning systems with enterprise operations.

You will design, develop, and maintain applications for preventive and corrective maintenance, and build meaningful metrics and dashboards to drive facility performance across the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 11+ years of experience, or an Associate degree with 9+ years, or Journeyman's Papers with 9+ years, or Naval Nuclear Propulsion Operator qualification with 9+ years, or a Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, configuration, and sustainment of complex software and data systems for engineering, maintenance, and facility operations.
• Design, develop, and maintain applications to support preventive and corrective maintenance.

Job Description

The Enterprise Systems Development (ESD) unit in the Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is seeking an experienced Specialist to help the design and implementation of a new facility management solution. This role will apply detailed technical knowledge to assist the development, configuration, and sustainment of complex software and data systems that support engineering, maintenance, and facility operations.

As a key member of the ESD team, you will:

• Support the technical transition of NNL’s Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) to PrimeNet using ServiceNow, including configuration, customization, integration, and testing.
• Serve as the technical resource in planning, analysis, design, testing, and data analysis efforts for complex engineering and software systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain applications and tools that support planning and management of Preventive and Corrective Maintenance.
• Build and automate metrics, dashboards, and reports that provide meaningful insight into facility and maintenance performance at all organizational levels.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure systems and metrics align with enterprise?level operational needs.
• Support initiatives that identify, support, and sustain the software applications and hardware systems required for IWMS functionality. Promote and enforce sound software engineering principles across all design and implementation activities.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to other developers and project team members, promoting sound development practices and high?quality delivery.

Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 11 years of relevant experience; or Associates degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or Journeymans Papers in a related field and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or Qualification as a Naval Nuclear Propulsion Operator (or commercial nuclear equivalent) and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing and configuring applications tailored to specialized business processes (e.g., facility management, maintenance management, work management)
• Proven ability to deliver clear, maintainable, and well documented solutions by following standard software development lifecycle practices
• Prior experience with the Field Services Management (FSM) Module within ServiceNow
• Ability to develop meaningful, data?driven business metrics and clear, actionable metric reports that provide insight into operational and engineering performance across the Operations & Maintenance(O&M) and Engineering communities

Pay Range

$86,100.00 - $134,600.00 annually

Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
