Job summary

Transamerica Corporation is hiring a Specialist Software Engineer to design and develop web and cloud solutions across Cedar Rapids, IA; Denver, CO; and Philadelphia, PA in a hybrid office setting.

You will lead end-to-end architectural work, collaborate with onshore and offshore teams, and deliver scalable software using Java/.NET, cloud services, and microservices frameworks in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, math, engineering, or other technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Six years of Core Java or .NET experience.
• Five years of database design techniques and NoSQL knowledge.
• Three years of cloud services (AWS/Azure) experience.
• Five years of integration and service frameworks (APIs, Kafka, Swagger, microservices).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture design across platforms toward end-to-end solutions and translate guidance into detailed technical design.
• Lead committees or projects to define organization-wide standards and guidelines.
