Delta Industries, Inc. is seeking a Compliance & Claims Specialist responsible for maintaining full regulatory record-keeping compliance across DOT and OSHA, while managing the full lifecycle of workers' compensation and auto-liability claims.

This role coordinates with drivers, supervisors, medical providers, adjusters, and legal counsel to ensure timely reporting, accurate documentation, and effective return‑to‑work arrangements.

Qualifications

  • Experience navigating DOT and OSHA record-keeping requirements.
  • Strong understanding of workers' compensation and auto-liability claims processes.
  • Ability to coordinate with operations, medical providers, and legal counsel.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain DOT driver qualification files per 49 CFR 391.
  • Record and report drug and alcohol testing under 49 CFR Part 382.
  • Maintain OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 records; post 300A annually.
  • Track injury/illness records with supporting documentation.
  • Serve as liaison between injured employees, supervisors, medical providers, adjusters, and legal counsel.
  • Report new workers' compensation claims to the carrier within required timeframes.
  • Monitor claim status, reserves, and payments; review adjuster diaries and challenge denials.
  • Coordinate modified duty and return-to-work placements with operations.
  • Track open claims to resolution; identify settlements or litigation management.
  • Maintain claim files in the designated system of record with medical and wage documentation.

We need a Compliance & Claims Specialist to be responsible for maintaining full regulatory record-keeping compliance across DOT and OSHA, while managing the full lifecycle of workers' compensation and auto-liability claims.

Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Record-Keeping

DOT Compliance

Maintain driver qualification (DQ) files in accordance with 49 CFR 391, including applications, MVRs, medical examiner certificates, road tests, and employment verification.

Track, record, and report pre-employment, post-accident, random, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug & alcohol testing under 49 CFR Part 382.

Record, categorize, and retain all DOT recordable crashes with supporting documentation.

OSHA Compliance

Maintain OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 injury and illness records; post the 300A summary annually as required by 29 CFR 1904.

Record, categorize, and retain all recordable workplace injuries and illnesses with supporting documentation.

Workers' Compensation Claims Lead

Serve as primary liaison between injured employees, supervisors, medical providers, adjusters, and legal counsel.

Report new workers' compensation claims to the carrier within established timeframes and confirm first notice of injury documentation is complete and accurate.

Monitor claim status, reserves, and payments; review adjuster diaries and challenge reserve levels or treatment denials where warranted.

Coordinate modified duty and return-to-work placements with operations, ensuring transitional assignments align with medical restrictions.

Track open claims to resolution, including identification of claims appropriate for settlement, mediation, or litigation management.

Maintain claim files in the designated system of record, including medical documentation, wage records
