Job summary

The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and well-motivated radiographer to join our imaging team in this busy rotational post. The postholder will rotate in 12-week blocks between CT and the Cardiovascular Labs, which include Cardiac Cath Labs and Interventional Radiology.

They will be involved in the practical and theoretical teaching of students and radiographers on rotation from the general department.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months NHS radiography experience.
• Experience in CT, Cardiac Cath Labs and/or Interventional Radiology is advantageous.
• Rotational post with 12-week blocks between CT and the Cardiovascular Labs.
• On-call 24/7 emergency cover.
• In-person interviews are preferred.
• Commitment to continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist imaging within CT and other clinical areas.
• Justify and perform radiographic examinations to support patient management.
• Supervise and mentor junior radiographers ensuring continuity of service.
• Contribute to the 24/7 emergency imaging service.
• Support teaching of students and rotating radiographers.
