Job summary

Ecoplastic America is seeking a Production Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes in Ellabell, GA. The role focuses on implementing new technologies, improving efficiency, and reducing costs across production lines.

You will collaborate with R&D, QA, and Maintenance to ensure seamless transitions from development to production, while training staff on new processes and equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/industrial/manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production technology role.
• Experience with production process design and optimization.
• Experience with PLCs, robotics, and automated production systems is highly desirable.
• Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new production processes and technologies that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop process flow diagrams, layouts, and specifications for production equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess production needs and integrate new technologies into existing processes.
• Analyze current production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies to drive process optimization initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs to assess the effectiveness of changes.
• Provide technical support to production teams on equipment operation and process challenges.
• Work with R&D, QA, and Maintenance to ensure smooth transitions from development to production.
• Conduct training sessions for production staff on new technologies and process improvements

Job Type: FT Exempt

Shift: 8 hours - subject to change due to business needs

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Key Responsibilities

Process Design and Development

• Design and implement new production processes and technologies that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop process flow diagrams, layouts, and specifications for production equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess production needs and integrate new technologies into existing processes.

Optimization and Continuous Improvement

• Analyze current production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Utilize methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to drive process optimization initiatives.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of implemented changes.

Technical Support and Collaboration

• Provide technical support to production teams regarding equipment operation and process challenges.
• Work closely with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth transitions from development to production.
• Conduct training sessions for production staff on new technologies and process improvements
