Position: Specialist, Process Maintenance Planner/Mechanical – Lone Tree Autoclave facility

i-80 Gold Corp is seeking an experienced Process Maintenance Planner to oversee mechanical maintenance planning for its autoclave pressure oxidation (POX) facility. This role is critical to the company's strategy of processing refractory ore feedstocks and will be responsible for operations training activities leading to safe, efficient, and metallurgically optimized autoclave performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in construction, commissioning, start-up/ramp-up activities and optimization of the POX facility to support the company's broader Nevada growth plans.

Location: Lone Tree Complex, Humboldt County, Nevada

Responsibilities:

• Champion a safety-first culture consistent with i-80 Gold's operational values, particularly around site and POX operations
• Help ensure compliance with MSHA regulations, Nevada state environmental permits, and internal safety standards
• Help ensure all regulatory certifications and schedules are maintained, including, but not limited to, pressure vessel inspection, fire systems, etc.
• Participate in and/or lead root-cause investigations for safety incidents, process upsets or other significant events and implement corrective actions
• Develop, implement, coordinate and administer process maintenance planning activities, including asset management systems, scheduled routine and major shutdowns, etc.
• Work collaboratively with the process operations, on-site administration, on-site health/safety/environmental teams and other i-80 teams to deliver i-80’s business objectives
• Foster a collaborative work environment where the operations and maintenance teams work as one team to deliver business objectives and work with other departments to proactively support them in those goals
• Foster a collaborative work environment where the operations and metallurgy teams focus on safe and efficient operation in all areas of the process, including comminution, POX, neutralization, cyanidation, carbon handling, refining, cyanide destruction, tailing filtration, heap leach, and ancillaries
• Work closely with the Technical Services Team and Project Engineer to ensure commissioning, start-up and ramp-up for the facility is safe, efficient and performs to expectations
• Provide support for all operational readiness activities, including training for operators, maintainers and site support personnel
• Support workforce development as the site scales operations
• Proven track record of building and managing asset management programs
• Build trusted relationships across all teams and the community while championing a culture that reflects and supports i-80’s Mission, Vision and Values
• Develop, support and maintain all necessary maintenance documentation to ensure compliance with regulations and project needs
• Enhance planning systems as needs evolve
• Track and provide key performance indicators for business reporting needs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred but will also consider candidates with qualifying industry experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in process maintenance incorporating comminution, POX, neutralization, cyanidation, carbon handling, refining, cyanide destruction, tailing filtration, heap leach, and ancillaries
• 2+ years in process maintenance training
• Proven track record working with operations and supply chain teams on a mine site
• Experience with POX facilities treating a variety of feedstocks is beneficial
• Prior experience in a plant/operations setting within a growth-stage or ramp-up environment, including commissioning is beneficial
• Prior experience with developing and executing a strong reliability centered maintenance program
• Strong grasp of all unit operations associated with a POX facility, including comminution, POX, POX chemistry and hydrometallurgical process fundamentals, neutralization, cyanidation, cyanide destruction, tailing filtration, heap leach, ancillaries, and oxygen plant interface
• Strong grasp of reliability centered maintenance practices, including maintenance planning platforms and reporting of key performance indicators
• Ability to plan and schedule maintenance work for execution by in-house and contract technicians, to track performance of the assigned assets and crews, and to maintain accurate records in the CMMS and equipment files.
• The Maintenance Planner supports the execution of maintenance work by receiving, planning, estimating, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance work orders. The planner:

1. Ensures the timely and coordinated availability of facilities and equipment to be worked on, parts, materials, special tools and equipment, personnel with proper skills, and information required for efficient execution of work.
2. Makes certain that work performed is properly documented for use in the evaluation and control of the maintenance function.
3. Is the keeper of the maintenance backlog for the assigned areas and keeps current on closures for completed work or duplicate requests.
4. Determines if work requested constitutes a change and initiates the Management Of Change process.
5. Maintains close contact with Production Superintendents and Supervisors, Maintenance Supervisors, other Maintenance Planners, Engineers, Stores & Purchasing, and Craftsmen.

• The primary roles of the maintenance planner are improving maintenance productivity and quality of work by anticipating and eliminating obstacles to efficient work execution, providing resource coordination at job sites, and relieving supervisors of certain staff activities that conflict with their primary supervisory duties.
• Familiarity with DCS/SCADA systems and process control
• Proficient in developing and executing a robust maintenance plan with comprehensive PMs and SOPs
• Proficient in maintenance planning/execution software

Other Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the USA and relocate to work on-site in Nevada
• On-call availability and response to on-site needs is required
• This is a salaried exempt position requiring flexible work schedule
• Ability to clearly communicate in English, written and orally, is required
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with operations, maintenance, metallurgy, other on-site teams and corporate teams
• Experience supporting or overseeing operational training and workforce development programs preferred
