Job summary

The Clearing House invites applications for a Payments Education Specialist in Charlotte, NC. You will leverage knowledge of US payment channels to educate and support financial institution members and corporate subscribers, delivering education through diverse formats.

You will contribute to payments education programs, assist with consulting engagements, and collaborate with a team committed to excellence in service. Travel is required across seasons.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and two to four years related experience and/or training.
• 2–5 years of business or FI operations experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• AAP, APRP, AFPP, NCP and CTP are desirable certifications.

## Specialist, Payments EducationApply: Charlotte Office: North Carolina Office: Full time: Posted Yesterday: JR100141**Position Summary**: The Payments Education Specialist leverages his/her knowledge of the various payment channels used in the United States to support the financial institution members and corporate subscribers that belong to TCHPA. In addition to providing ad hoc member service and support, the Specialist’s work includes the development and delivery of payments education to various audiences, utilizing various methods of delivery. The person in this role may also be responsible for the execution of consulting and compliance engagements contracted for completion, under the direction of the Director, Payments Compliance & Consulting.**Essential Functions and Responsibilities:*** Receives telephone and email inquiries and responds with timely support and/or solutions in order to provide top of the line customer service for our members and others* Stays current on rules and regulations for the various payment systems* Works with the team to identify, develop and deliver payments-related education for our members, subscribers and prospects* Participates in the planning and execution of payments education programming for our members* Participates in the planning and execution of payments-related contracted engagements and special consulting projects and custom payments education programming for our members* Represents the company with a professional appearance and conduct* Participates in internal/external education to ensure expertise and consistency of performance* Travel required over the course of the year with some seasons heavier than others**Qualifications Required:*** Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience* 2 – 5 years of business or FI operations experience* Excellent verbal and written communications skills* Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) with strong knowledge of the ACH payment system* Knowledge of other payment systems including wire, check, credit/debit cards and instant payments helpful* Other payments industry certifications: APRP, AFPP, NCP and CTP desired* Self-motivated and ability to work both independently and in a team environment* Strong detail oriented, organized, and analytical skills* Proficiency with MS Office applications: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Presenter experience using WebEx, GoToMeetings or similar webinar program necessary**Qualifications Desired:*** Website administration a plus**Physical Demands and Work Environment:** Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.Employees in this position will report to the office three days per week.
