Job summary

Con Edison Co. in West Nyack, NY, is seeking a supervising professional to manage day-to-day administration and coordination of capital and maintenance projects, including overhead and underground transmission and distribution, substations, gas facilities, and environmental/remediation work.

Under limited supervision, you will supervise contractor labor forces, ensure plans and specifications are followed, and verify that equipment and materials meet project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day administration and coordination of capital and maintenance projects.
• Direct construction oversight of overhead and underground transmission and distribution, substations, gas, environmental/remediation and facilities renovation/construction projects.
• Field oversight and documentation of contractor labor to ensure conformity with plans and specifications.
• Verify that equipment and materials supplied meet project specifications.

Job description

With limited supervision, is responsible for the day-to-day administration, coordination and direct construction oversight of capital and maintenance projects including but not limited to overhead and underground transmission and distribution, substation, gas, environmental/remediation and facilities renovation/construction projects. Responsibilities shall require a significant degree of independent judgment and individual action. Performs field oversight and documentation of projects being performed by contractor labor forces to assure conformity with plans and specifications, and verifies that equipment and material supplied meets specifications.

This is a Supervisory Transition Rate 5 position (STR 5)
