Job summary

Sirio Nutrition (California) LLC is seeking a Material Control Specialist to ensure incoming materials meet quality requirements. You will review raw and packaging materials, release or disposition per specifications, and maintain traceability.

You will investigate material issues, coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and internal teams, and support GMP compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment on-site in California.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years in nutraceutical/pharma manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in nutraceutical/pharma manufacturing.
  • Experience with material release, nonconforming materials, and QC processes.

Responsibilities

  • Review and release incoming raw materials and packaging per specifications.
  • Verify analytic testing results and determine material disposition.
  • Manage nonconforming materials and perform investigations.
  • Coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments and suppliers.
  • Maintain traceability records to ensure GMP compliance.
  • Support cross-functional quality activities and safety policies.

We seek out innovation across our entire business and pass that knowledge and expertise to our customers.As a Material Control Specialist, you will ensure incoming materials meet established quality requirements through material review, release, status control, and nonconforming material management.How will you contribute:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to:Review and release incoming raw materials, packaging materials, and other production materials in accordance with approved specifications, quality requirements, and company procedures.Verify analytical testing results and inspection results against approved material specifications and acceptance criteria to determine material disposition.Perform material disposition activities, including release, hold, rejection, extension approval, and conditional release based on quality assessment, supporting data, and established procedures.Manage nonconforming materials, including identification, segregation, documentation, investigation, and final disposition.Conduct investigations for material-related quality issues, including root cause analysis and evaluation of contributing factors.Coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments and suppliers, and follow up on action completion and effectiveness.Maintain accurate material release and nonconforming material records to ensure traceability and GMP compliance.Support material-related quality activities and collaborate with Warehouse, QC, Production, and other cross-functional teams as needed.Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.Maintains a safe work environment and operates in a safe manner.Perform other related job duties related to the job, as assigned by management.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate, with 5 or more years of work experience in nutritional or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry or equivalent; orCollege Degree or applicable training in an accredited college/university, with 2 or more years of work experience in nutritional or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry or equivalent.Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job.Work Environment:May involve exposure to allergens such as Soy, Wheat, Fish, Shellfish, Milk, Egg, Tree Nuts and Sesame.Why work for Sirio Nutrition (California) LLC:The Company pays 100% of the premium for employee-only medical coverage.Dental, Vision, Life Insurance401(k)10 paid HolidaysPaid time offMore about us:As a valued strategic partner, Sirio Nutrition (California) LLC offers a comprehensive program of services, turnkey solutions, and client support that is unmatched in the industry.
