Specialist Information Systems Engineer

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Specialist IS Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain software applications and solutions that meet business needs, ensuring the availability and performance of critical systems. You will build scalable software solutions addressing complex business requirements, focusing on robust applications, integrations, and reporting. Your role will involve ensuring system performance and availability through automation and proactive incident management.

You will collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers to design and manage next-generation metrics engines and data governance capabilities, including metadata and reference data management for analytics. Additional responsibilities include designing interfaces, workflows, process models, and deploying integrations in development and production environments, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.

This position is ideal for a collaborative, detail-oriented professional passionate about enhancing clinical operations through advanced engineering and integrations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product owners, data architects, SMEs, and engineers to develop and deliver high-quality solutions, enhancing integrations across clinical systems.
• Design and architect modern infrastructure for the next-generation metrics engine supporting operational analytics via cloud technologies.
• Implement data governance capabilities, including metadata and reference data management for analytics.
• Manage complex software projects from conception to deployment, overseeing scope, risk, and timelines.
• Utilize rapid prototyping to translate concepts into working solutions and code.
• Leverage AI/ML technologies for predictive analytics, NLP/NLQ, and data analytics enhancements.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into software architecture and design specifications.
• Develop and execute testing strategies to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Integrate systems and platforms for seamless data flow and interoperability.
• Provide support and maintenance for applications to ensure smooth operation.
• Build advanced analytics capabilities for data-driven decision-making.
• Mentor junior developers to foster team growth.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

• Doctorate OR
• Master’s degree with 4-6 years of experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree with 6-8 years of experience OR
• Diploma with 10-12 years of experience OR
• Diploma with 14-18 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience writing SQL with RDBMS (Redshift, Postgres, MySQL, etc.)
• Programming experience (SQL, C++, JavaScript, XML)
• Experience with big data technologies (Databricks, Spark, PySpark, SparkSQL)

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Linux, Shell scripting)
• Experience with Spark, Hive, Kafka, Kinesis, Airflow
• Experience with data pipelines and ETL processes
• Agile methodology experience
